The Cynic
A downloadable playbook
In denial about being a support class and full of double edged swords, the Cynic is built to complain. Predict bad rolls instead of changing them, push a defeatist agenda, make things worse to have more control of them, meddle with others and mitigate disaster even as you insist you have no friends - and then burn what you've got to succeed when you need to, or even win no questions asked, if you'll pay the price.
You'll also like this playbook if you enjoy taking a smart, tormented asshole and throwing bricks at them made out of their emotional issues. Who doesn't?
The Cynic is a fanmade playbook for Interstitial 2e by Riley Hopkins, inspired by characters like Lucifer from Paranatural, Haymitch Abernathy, and Tsukishima Kei. This playbook is for the characters who think being defeatist makes them smarter than you. You know the guys.
Includes Bad Odds, a supplemental containing eight bonus Cynic moves!
(Note: Like some other moves and playbooks, discuss with your table before you play with The Bright Clear Line.)
